Tony Lombardo
Licensed Audiologist
Tony Lombardo is a licensed audiologist in Wisconsin and Minnesota with over 10 years of experience in audiology.
Tony received his Bachelors in Communicative Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and received his Masters Degree in Audiology at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
He is a member of the following professional organizations:
- Fellow, American Academy of Audiology
- Member, Minnesota Academy of Audiology
- PDGA Member, Professional Disc Golf Association
Prior to joining The Hearing Store, Tony served as a diagnostic and clinical audiologist with the Marshfield Clinic in Wausau WI, was the Director of Professional Services for a hearing aid insurance and finance company, and has worked as a private practitioner in St. Paul. Tony is now working in our Minnetonka office.
Tony enjoys working with area musicians to prevent hearing loss, and spends his free time playing disc golf, studying photography, and playing music with his family and friends. |
Shanna Allen
Licensed Audiologist
Shanna Allen is an audiologist with almost 10 years experience in audiology.
She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Audiology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida.
She is also a member of the following organizations:
- Past President, Minnesota Academy of Audiology
- Fellow, American Amademy of Audiology
- Regional Captain of the State Leaders Network
She was also chosen as a Future Leader of Audiology by the American Academy of Audiology in 2010.
Shanna’s previous experience includes advanced audiology diagnostics and hearing aid dispensing at The University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, ENT SpecialtyCare, and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Shanna currently lives in Crystal, MN and enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her son, Joey. |
Alison A. Burris
Licensed Audiologist
Alison Burris, M.S., CCC-A,. is a licensed audiologist in Minnesota who will mark her 25th year in the field of Audiology in August, 2012.
Alison received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Hope College in Holland, MI. She earned her master of science degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO.
She is also a member of the following organizations:
- American Speech and Hearing Association
- Minnesota Academy of Audiology
Prior to joining The Hearing Shoppes, Alison was a clinical audiologist for an ENT private practice in Edina, MN. She was also an on-call audiologist for a healthcare organization. Alison is seeing patients at The Hearing Shoppes' Burnsville location.
Alison has witnessed the progression and transformation of hearing aid technology over the past two and a half decades. She is excited and optimistic about the possibilities that digital techonology now offers those individuals needing amplification.
When Alison isn't at work, she's busy keeping up with her eight year old twins. She is also an avid cook and loves to feed people! She studies Taw Kwon Do and will earn her black belt in this martial art in February, 2013. |
Michelle Lang
Doctor of Audiology
Michelle Lang, Au.D. is a licensed, certified Dispensing Audiologist in the state of Minnesota.
She is a graduate from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she received her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She continued her education at the Arizona School of Health Sciences where she obtained her Doctor of Audiology degree.
She is also a member of the following organizations:
- Certified, American Speech Language Hearing Association
Dr. Lang has completed various externships in Arizona and Oregon and has participated in Rotary Club missions to Mexico to provide audiological evaluations for children and adults. Dr. Pollihan provides her patients with a wide range of expertise including diagnostic audiology, hearing instrument selection and fitting and patient counseling. Previously, Dr. Lang traveled throughout Minnesota assisting patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Dr. Lang lives in Rosemount, Minnesota and enjoys cooking, running and spending time with her family and friends. |
Tim Welch
Hearing Instrument Dispenser
Tim Welch is a licensed Hearing instrument Dispenser in the State of Minnesota.
He received his Bachelor's degree from Luther College, and earned a Post Baccalaureate Certificate from SACI in Florence, Italy. Tim has also worked for a leading hearing aid manufacturing company for several years, prior to joining The Hearing Shoppes team. While there, he was involved with the building of custom hearing devices, and he conferred with audiologists from all over the country to help troubleshoot their difficulties with custom devices.
Tim lives in the Minneapolis area with his wife and enjoys listening to, and creating music in his free time.

Jerry Zhou
Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist
Dr. Jerry Zhou, Ph.D. is a licensed hearing instrument specialist in the State of Minnesota.
He received his Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Ph. D. degree in Hearing Science from the University of Minnesota.
He is also a member of the following organizations:
- American Academy of Audiology
- Acoustical Society of America
- American Auditory Society
- IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)
Dr. Zhou has over 12 years of experience in development, engineering, and manufacturing of hearing aids in major hearing aid companies. Prior to providing private hearing health care, Dr. Zhou was the New Product Introduction Manager for a major hearing aid manufacturer responsible for launching new products with new technologies. Dr. Zhou now specializes in in-home hearing care services in collaboration with The Hearing Stores of Minnesota. Dr. Zhou also serves patients in any of our 4 clinic locations. Dr. Zhou lives in Woodbury, Minnesota with his wife and two daughters. |
